In my getting to know me blog post, I called myself a gamer,
but really I just like watching other people play games, but many times I find
a person who does a Let's Play on a game that really helps me understand
something that I never dealt with, two games that I hope to Blog on, A Beginner’s Guide and Anxiety Attacks, both of which are
played by the Youtuber jacksepticeye. If you have about three hours, I think
you should look them up. I'm posting the kickstarter trailer for the game we did the reading on, because I think everyone should see it.
Back to That Dragon,
Cancer, it is a hauntingly beautiful game in the way that it deals with
something so real that we know it’s out there and yet none of us know what it
may it us or a loved one. While I don’t have a child who has cancer and never
had it myself. I did have a family member who had it and while it wasn’t as bad
as Joel’s, it was still a scary thing to go through in the way that, you don’t
what could happen next, will today be the last day? Will tomorrow be the last
day? Or will you make it to the next tomorrow? Or the next? Not all games are
like the ones you see in store (Fallout games, Halo, Call of Duty etc.), but
games that what deal with real world problems, problems that none of us want,
and yet none of us know how to deal with it or just talk about it. Will I ever
play That Dragon, Cancer? Yes, if I
can ever get my hands on it, I would want to play it, because it tells a story
and it let’s you have a hand in that story.
