Finals Week

Monday, Monday was greeted by rain as the beginning of the horrors that await us that all the people in heaven weep for the living. The faculty tells us "no one has ever survived a night cramming in my class." Except the teacher tells us the week before, "Are you frighten?" The only words we can reply with is, "yes." Then the teacher replies with, "Not nearly frighten enough. I know what awaits you." Though the week has just begun, I already feel a disturbance in the grade book. I plead out to the teachers as I am working effortlessly to finish my test, "are you not entertained, is this not why you are here?" Though the days drag on you must fight on, when you go one more round of studying when you don't think you can, that's what makes all the difference in your test. Though sometimes we ask the teacher what does this mean and they say, "All good things to those who study," then go on to say, "I do wish we could chat longer, but... I'm having an old friend for dinner. Bye," and all we say, "Dr. Lector?... Dr. Lector?... Dr. Lector?... Dr. Lector?...," then nothing more. We sometimes think, "This is the day you will always remember as the day you almost passed that class." Though we've done this before right in high school, nothings difficult. Everything's a challenge. Through adversity to the stars. From the last sentence to the last word to the last letter to the last pencil-we write. We write. WE WRITE! However, we hope that may the curve be ever in your favor. Though when its all over we hear from are teachers, "You've always had the power my student, you just had to learn it for yourself."

Why because I love this song one reason is there is some truth to this song reason why is most nice guys are truly not appreciated for what they are worth. For some reason girls like bad guys because they seem more adventurous or keep girls excited but they usually are total jerks or dumb as a bucket. So guys try to be crazy, exciting, and spontaneous though rather most guys get girls just being themselves and complement the girl they are dating. Honestly, I knew this girl back in California who dated this guy who seemed really cool at first and dressed all that doing awesome stuff but treated her like trash excuse me quoting from the song, but it's true it seems most girls go for guys based on their looks not how the dude treats her. Though it's true most guys want to impress girls because honestly half the time guys do not know what the hell they are doing. Honestly half the dates I have been were all coincidences doing one thing that leads to something else and then yeah on a date. The funny thing about this song is guys truely overthink what truely girls wants because girls your gorgeous but complicated sometimes. Plus us guys like in the song we want to tell you what we truely think about you but over think that you want a guy who is cool ang good looking not just average and nice.

So Jesus walks on a donkey and they laid down palm branches while he rides through the city and jews were thinking this hold up we need a rewrite of the Jesus first give him muscles, then a sword, then riding on white stallion, and finally saying, "let's kill the Romans and be free."Well, that's not what happen at all they ended up killing Jesus spoiler for those reading the Bible. Though in the Matrix they get Neo one kick butting deadly assassin to liberate the people the people coming up. Neo is what the Jews wanted because he liberates his people to the truth and does it all while looking sick as hell in those glasses and black trench coat. Though why did the Jews want this because they were told that they would be saved by the son of God though was not told what they were told saved from what really. Jesus did save them from a greater enemy their own sin. Neo does this though and more he find out what the matrix is and helps Trinity and her friends win against Morpheus. Liberating the people and helping them see the truth of the problems forced onto them by Morpheus and his secret agents. Though I believe if God sent Jesus as some war monger future generation would see Jesus not as a savior but as a butcher trying to give power back to his people but not loving as God loves everyone.

Ok, Justine Bieber honestly when he first came out hated his guts one he was this kid who seemed to disrespect everyone he met. Then he goes off does sex, drugs, and alcohol the usual for any pop star to go off on the deep end and loose their ways. However, Justin does not just keep continuing on his current course he literally took his life and 180 it. He saw all his faults in his fame and how he used for his will and treated people like trash, but then goes off the news for awhile and then has the gall to ask his fans for forgiveness. To me, at first, I saw it as some route to get back to the charts but then I heard it, then I knew he truly means it saying he giving purpose to his movement. Coming out with so much music about asking forgiveness, find purpose in your life, and seek to be happy with yourself and let nothing change that. He talks about how he felt he lost his purpose and through this album he's hoping to make amends for his behavior and find his purpose once again. Giving light that he truly burned in his past life with all the drama and through the drugs and sex scandals and now is rising from his past life's ashes emerging as rebirthed man and hopefully is here to stay because whoever this Justin Bieber now is ten times better than that boy who created "baby."

What is Justice?

Mahatma Gandhi Indias greatest revolutionist who said and I quote, "an eye for an eye only makes the whole world blind." One of my life quotes and with all these attacks on Paris and in America with all these shootings I think it's hard to truly define justice. Proverbs 21:15 "When justice is done, it brings joy to the righteous but terror to evildoers."Though the bible also says in Zachariah 7:9 "This is what the LORD Almighty says: 'Administer true justice; show mercy and compassion to one another.'"

This baffles me, I know justice is not repaying and evil for another evil though the world is in chaos. God says true justice is mercy and compassion but when is it acceptable to sentence death for justice. Though I also think if justice can only be applied to criminals captured I mean we gave the generals of the Nazi regime a trial and sentence them all to death though many were also killed on sight. I have seen the what mercy can do and message it sends and sometimes people take advantage of it seeing it as weakness, not strength.

Though we see what strength of holding back did for Gandhi and Martin Luther both of them became legends and bringing about a new age liberation for their parties but were both assassinated. Though these assassinations only strengthen their movement so I wonder maybe we should not be going in guns a blazing but rather strength are borders and security than aim all efforts to destroy people but show them we are not like them and make them waste their efforts for a worthless cause.

Wooh, this music video was so awesome. This music video was so great to see and hear the video revolves around two Viking ships battling it out in the freezing water but rather than using swords, spears, axes, shields, bows and arrows they used music to battle in a rock concert vibe. This video went perfectly with the music because it was so fun and pumped up. Though is great when the two sides ships turned into giant robots and started playing. Though one side then goes out of their way to becoming a marching band and win in the end. Though it was weird and fun to see such a low budget video done in such a great way because sometimes I feel the video these days try too hard to create these expensive looking masterpieces when a masterpiece can be done with a simple piece or paper and pen. No need for the cool whacky set, no need for high-class backup singers or background dancers, no need for any awesome special effects, no none of that, simple is sometimes the best way to go. Overall the guys who made this did a great job with what little they had to work with.

So I was on facebook one day and I saw this post about when a person took pictures of people and how they reacted when she told them they were beautiful. Most of them reacted with a smile a laugh and blush. Though there was a video where one girl told her she was lying, that she was sick for playing with her emotions all because the girls said I am taking pictures of things I see beautiful. Huh? it baffles me to think why did she not think she was telling the truth? I can not get head around it of why the girl was good looking yes, though why could she not except that some person she probably knew believe she was beautiful? Honestly, I have no answer but only that she doesn't hear she is beautiful often but rather ugly. That her mind was so corrupted by whatever others say that she believes when she is complimented that nothing but a lie. Now I wonder though how many insults and compliments I've heard over the years and how many descriptions from others was what they truly saw and believed I was? Honestly, who could know the answer to such a question because these days we say to people in a sort of goofy or dry tone these descriptions; slut, moron, idiot, beautiful, gorgeous, whore, wonderful, saint, angle, and so many more? Though how many of these words do we say for a joke or out of truth. Growing up I heard the worst of description from high school kids and from my friends but also heard from them the best of descriptions and puzzles me in what do they truly think when they see me walking up? Though I may never know what they may truly think of me in the end still I rather hear the best of descriptions so I can hold onto them when I am told the worst of descriptions.

Dysfunctional. No Way In Hell!

Dysfunctional we are no way in hell Leeper if anything we are the most diverse workers in history. The reason why is in my life span I have had to use many different tools though I have done many activities that taught me how to use these tools. Though Leeper many high schools offer a stop motion animation in the school like mine did. Though many of these students do have more knowledge about computers because DMA students can not really make animation or film without a computer. Though I can not say, many of my fellow classmates know how to use the same tools I have learned to use because I do not what work they have done. Though to say we are the dysfunctional age is truly not true, because we can use drones, work a camera, use photoshop to its full potential just because many students have not yet used the advanced tools the school has in the stop motion is does not mean we are so dysfunctional to quickly learn and full use the tool we are given. 

Also, many of these students can use many tools that require physical labor because my friend builds sets for the theater group, some classmates I saw during our freshmen orientation service project used the gardening tools to its full use and needed no lesson in how to work them, and some of my classmates I see in the gym using the weight lifting machines. So I disagree we are not the most dysfunctional age we are probably the most qualified to learn and adapt to learn the use of any new tool presented in front of us.

Ok, so I will be talking about one music video called Breaking Habits. This music video is amazing in its wonderful but dark animation. The band is singing about breaking the terrible habits people have and letting go of them for the greater end. This video is clear, precise, and spot on and conveys a way better image then a live action could ever bring out of the songs meaning. The reason why is this animation brings forth a serious dark vibe that would be very difficult to find in the real world and with this anime animation they could create scenes that have a certain angle and effect that live action could probably take hours on hours to fit perfectly.

This music video is great with its execution with showing scenes of terrible addictions or actions that people do though it rewinds to show to point where they have not committed the action. It gives it a vibe that they see the results of their actions and then learn to rather not do the action that bring them to their downfall.

The greatest scene is when you see that the man who jumps from the building was the lead singer. Which to me felt like he was being personal in a sense that this was his habit he had broken and through breaking that habit he is doing this amazing performance on top of the building singing with his band member. Overall though its just a great song with an amazing animation put with it.

Ryan is NOT A Documentary but a Horror

Disturbing, useless and no effect.

Ryan this so-called documentary is far from anything that is a documentary. The reason is the way they were showing this film was overall just weird and I felt that people would lose the whole basis of what the documentary is about. The animation mixed with what they were feeling and how the tentacles came out of their faces just creepy. A documentary is to inform people on certain subjects through informative commentary and images of that convey great meaning to the subject, not images that show off the feelings of the individual in a strange way.

Even though I like the idea of using animation to convey certain images that film can not that is when I say one can use animation but not like in Ryan I learned nothing about what the documentary was about and was easily disturbed at the same time.

This documentary was also poor in conveying information about the subject which about this animators work and how he fell into drugs and lost his job. Ryan is also an inspiring animator who find himself in the same situation but not falling into drugs. Though what really creep me out was that the dudes did not have a full body they were missing much of their skin and had colorful tentacles coming out their bodies overall just an awful way to deliver information about an event.

Sex what a topic!

Ok, this is a great topic.

Sex this is hard to talk about, the reason why I think it is because the community has poisoned it. Why because back then even in the Bible we read people have multiplied wives back then. Plus many men and women were getting married at like 15. Children have sex at a very young age, though not these days because today are marriage is not arranged, but we choose who we want to marry. That takes time months years not just picked by parents who think this person will be the best for their child. So, I believe people these days are just feel that they need to satisfy their sexual desires.

I feel sex is something precious a gift of the unification of man and women from God. Then when man and women unite they create something precious, a child. Children are the symbol of that unification and should be considered sacred.

So now in the modern society, I think that people see sex as just some kind activity just to get a rush or sensation. Then when people who have sex before marriage feel it is not worth it or just not precious anymore. We hear all these sexual jokes every day and do not give a second thought because it is an everyday thing that people play have some activity, not something precious from God.

My reasons are my own and I see sex is something should be kept sacred. Though this is my belief and what believe is your own which only changes when you want it to change.

Extra Credit Essay #2

After You, what a riot.
This was so funny I was dying because I see this all the time when I'm with my friends. Though lets's do the assignment, so it connects with the reading of Keith Lango's blog with that the people who created this, yeah they wanted it to be good, but they created because they were having fun with a simple idea. They created this turtle who is fun loving and energetic paired with some kind of tall thin gray martian who both came to a door and opened it and were gesturing for the other to go first. Though neither side wanted to because both wanted to be the nicer person and it falls perfectly with what Keith Lango is saying do not create shorts to get a job, do not try to create films like Pixar movies, and have fun with it. Even though it was not the quality of a Pixar film it was still well done with how they worked, how they acted, and moved. They did not try to create a film that had the quality of a Pixar because they knew or did not want to try in create a film with such detail because it is just impossible to do so or would take you many years to do it. This way of thinking applies to me in a sense that I am happy with the things I create, I know I will not be able to create films like Tangled with the amount of people and equipment I have but can create something I enjoy looking at and working on.

Your Opinion is Nothing but a Lie.

So, lets start off with this.

Advertisement promotes these images of what beauty is. That its this person that is fit and healthy
looking, that need to have beautiful skin, long beautiful hair and overall look perfect. Although who decides that? Who decides what is beautiful in this world? Is it how you look, act, talk or do? Who knows, not me, yet. So you know we do we base beauty off are own opinions, we try to pressure everyone else to think, "This is beauty, this is what you should look like," and then people believe this and think this is what everyone else think is beautiful I need to be that. Next thing is why do we care? You know why? Intrinsic rewards a type of motivation that are brain has where it seeks approval from others, complements and other appraisals that not materialized. Except why try at all? I gone through this world trying to get approval of my peers and al I get from them is insults, mockery, and ridicule. It one of the many reasons I almost put a bullet through my brain. Though why am I still trying to get others approval? Honestly I do not still understand why I do, because in my heart I know this image I seek I will never be, so I act like I do not care what people say about me or treat me. Well, apparently I still care because I seek equality, I seek respect and treated like I matter. Not like garbage to be thrown out on the curb and I think everyone else does too. The reason be is we want to do things of great importance, but if we are filled with these images of this is how you look, this how one should act, this is the ideal person people look up too and admire. Still, though that is others opinion things they think, but it isn't a fact or truth. Though then there is the thing that when we work for businesses that promote what beauty is, we say what is not what we think is but what others want to hear not what we truly think. So, this leads to problems where we say things we do not truly believe. Now, I'm give this biggest fact of your life, all of your opinions mean nothing. The only truth, fact, law and hard written copy is God made you to be you and that God loves you. Nothing more nothing less.

Sand

The animation "Sand," man, what a great and wonderful new way of animation. This art form I have never seen before and was totally memorized by this art style. It was the type of art that can change within a matter of seconds and could form anything. It reminded me of a puppet show I saw back in 4th grade, it made want to go back to 4th grade and see that show again. Though the story, I love how the wolf was so creepy but so inventive. The way it moved and looked was different because it grew, stretched and transformed, it stalked its prey within the form of a tree, a ball, and even into a bird. Them the boy find out but interesting the director used sand to change the time of day by blacking out everything then removing sand

in the shape of the boy and wolf. The director did an amazing job, it was created by a female animator named Caroline Leaf back in 1969. The music though it freaked me out made me want to cut off my ears and never put them back for the music during the like scary part  was a scratching but made me fear what was coming next. It also made me question what other items I could use to create movies what I can use that different to convey a deep meaning.

why do we do what we do?

Why do we make films, well simple I do it because I LOVE IT! There is no greater feeling when I create a character and make it come to life. Plus with animation I do not have to follow the rules of physics, I can make any environment I want and every scene is perfect I do not have to go back for any retakes. I can make anything come to life and interact with the world. Also, I love to tell stories with things that out of this world and can look like they belong because of the style a film is in and the possibilities are endless and only limited by my own imagination. The paper is my own world and I love how it all comes together in the end to create something awesome.

Though that's my reason for doing it, but others do not. Some say they do it because it is better than being a teacher or another job. Which bugs the heck out me because if you tolerate what you are doing then why do it at all? The animation is about bending the rules of reality, law and principle. It's a way for the impossible become possible, talking dogs, aliens, superheroes, new worlds, no laws of physics, no restriction, no limit. It can be whatever you want about whatever you want.

Destroy yourself before you can, be Yourself

Do this, look in a mirror ask yourself is this person in the mirror really me? Is this person that who I want to be? You already know my darkest secret I thought of committing suicide but through my teacher killing herself at my school made me see it was not the right path.

Though you do not know why? Psalms 139:14-16 "I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for 
me, when as yet there was none of them." we are wonderfully made, but why do we hide who we really are? Why do we not embrace our true nature? 

I know because we are afraid of what other might say, of what others will do, and that we will not be accepted. I was mocked, ridiculed, and harassed by my peers because I did the most random stuff. However, I was being myself doing the dumbest things, being random, and trying to make people laugh, accept people didn't really respond with laughs they responded with a description by calling me names and stuff. 

Though let's get to the main point, I wasn't being myself in how much their words meant to me and how much these things said about me bothered me. I took a road of being the tuff guy who didn't care what people said, but it did I wore my heart on sleeve. I wasn't telling people how I really felt and it only caused me more pain and heartache. 

Being yourself does not only mean acting how you would usually feel in a time of happiness but also in a time of hardship and misery. We are lied to that we need to be strong in a time of pain but no in the bible it says in John 11:35 "Jesus wept." If God the all powerful, all might, and on high can cry I bet you can cry too. 

So why don't we, why do we think being weak will not be accepted? God wept and he was accepted by many, so why doesn't man follow Gods example in being able to show we are not invincible but in truth we are beautiful in when we fall apart and allow a true bond to be formed for a community.

A story for the ages

So, picture this you're about six or eight sitting in your bed not able to sleep, but then your mom or dad and says it's time for bed. Then the typical response is wait can you tell me a story. Then your parent tells you a story about a cowboy, a great warrior, a princess, an alien, or even about a knight.
However, all these stories end how a child thinks it should end usually with the hero getting the girl or the princess finding true love. Though many of these stories are have moral doing that right thing always pay off, love is strange or check you before you wreck yourself, I don't know.

The one movie I loved to death was The Prince of Egypt, the reason why is yes the people are let free from pharaoh, but big but take this into perspective, he grew up with Ramses fought with him played with him and had each others back always. Then Moses kills a guard flees from Egypt fearing for his life, roams the desert then arrives in Midian. Where he saves the high priest daughters and marries one of them. Meets God (no big deal) in the form of a burning bush. Then told to go free the Israelites only to find not proven but most likely, Ramses as the new Pharaoh. I mean could you imagine that going home finding your bro is King and just straight up demanding to let my people go.

Moses had to suffer watching destroying his brother in laws reputation, but also had to see him suffer when Ramses firstborn was killed by the final plague. The irony right though Pharaoh killed many of the jews firstborn and so God brought the same fate for the Egyptians.

Laughter is given by God

One thing I've learned is God is comical. How is he comical?

Well, for one he always brings us what we need at the right time when we asked for something else. Also, he throws the most unexpected and impossible things at use when we least expect it. 

In the story of Abraham, what are the odds that an Angel comes to you in your tent and tells you, "Your wife will have a child," and you are 106 and your wife is 91. Tell you what I would have died right there of laughter, and yeah of course God would laugh too because he gave use laughter, if he didn't have it why would we have it? 

When we laugh, we usually laugh at the unreal and impossible odds of something happening, or the unexpected reactions out of people when something happens, and laughing is something that brings us to joy in our lives because we can't explain the everything and why it happens.

Tragedy Fury

What up guys its me, Kendall

A tragedy what is it, well it's a story that doesn't end well for the hero, the people, or the kingdom. So I'm going to talk about a movie called, "Fury," as an example.

        Picture this it is WWII and a guy is put with a tank team of five. This guys named Norman. Norman is the replacement for one of five, though this team has never lost a man to war until now. That why Norman was assigned to the team, oh yeah the tank they man is called Fury by the way, and now I will refer the team as Fury for now on ok. So, Normans first mission, fury is one of the tanks protecting a group of men from a heavy machine gun. Fury's leader, Wardaddy tells Norman to shoot at soldiers on ground even though they are already dead...?
        Then Fury enters into a town where Norman meets a nice girl falls in love and then right when leaves her home, its blown up by a mortar. These people were also German and the soldier still blew it up. Norman becomes something different now he show no mercy to the German troops and kills all in his way. So, great he grew a backbone to be as ruthless as his enemy, he's going to need it.
         Fury is heading towards the front line with a group of other tanks. However they are ambushed by panzer tank now know this the Germans had the best tank, it devoured other tanks it was consider the reaper if you ever saw it. Fury wins but at the cost of three other tanks and they the last tank.
         Fury continues on, but hit a mine destroying any chance for the tank to move, but wait theres more. A battalion of German soldiers are coming straight for them. So, what do they do they stay and fight as the battle goes on each member of Fury dies, except Norman, Because he was spared by young German soldier in the end.
         Now, you're thinking why use this as an example Kendall, because tragedy doesn't have to end with the main character dying. It can end many different ways, this I think is a tragedy because Norman was something horrifying, he was a soldier without a heart. There is a question with an answer that asks what the best way to defeat my enemy, answer make him your friend. He showed little restraint after the girl died he just said who do I shoot and where. Although, there is another reason why you can say this is a tragedy, it could be because he was alone now his friends are dead he has no one to share with his pain for what he did. No one who truly understood him and trials he had to face.

Now for the videos in class. Well, with the one with the man talking about his life it felt like he was upset that he was living this life. People were being killed, he working at this dead end job, and his son being marked because he had talent. Then he was drunk and talked about how awful it was not to see, but to me I wouldn't want to see all this stuff. It seemed like more he was sad that he could see this that he knew all this torment and saw it all.

For the one film with the kid locked in the fridge. I would say that its more of a tragedy that saving the boy life was not at the top of their list to do. The boys being jerks to them it was sad at what brought them laugher that the suffering of other not to a point of death was amusing to them. Also that the man cared more about his drink being finished then phoning the firefighters. The overall tragedy was how little, people cared about the life of the young boy.

What up its Kendall

What up guys my name is Kendall James Adams.

I come from Yorba Linda, California which is about ten minutes away from Disneyland, to be honest being that close is not all that grand.
A little about me is I am 18, I grew up with my parents and my two older siblings who are Jon he is 19 who is studying to be a chemical engineer, my sister who is 24 and works as personal trainer at 24 hour fitness. My dad is a train engineer who drives the trains for a company called BNSF and my mom is a fitness teacher for the elderly.

I have a great passion for art, soccer, Jesus christ, and track(hurdles).
I am an Eagle Scout of the Boy Scouts of America YEAH.
Also, if you have not figured out yet but I love making new friends and for it really easy because of how I grew up and learned that just be yourself everyday, plus if you give me an apple I will be so happy because as my mother said, "An apple a day, keeps the doctor away."

More about me? Please stop reading, I'm terrible at this kind of stuff well if I have too. Well, I'm a double major in animation and film production who hopes to work for either Disney, Dreamwork's, or  DC comics.

With my degree I hope to tell amazing stories filled with adventure and imagination. However, I want to incorporate many symbols and metaphors from the bible to help teach valuable lessons. Also, I want to tell the stories of people who have lives that are hard and challenging in interesting ways. Though the biggest thing I want to do with film making and animation is to bring people together in way like no other because I believe its the only thing that can truly bring people together in a way like no other.

The reason I believe this because growing up, if you can believe it didn't have many friends growing up not because I was shy, but I lost them all the time they would either move, we couldn't hangout anymore, or other reasons. With this used my loneliness to draw pictures of how I felt, about the world around me, also it was a way for me to escape my problems in the real world. However, growing up I was also picked on a lot and bullied. With very few friends and being bullied it drove me to think of a shorter life span.

Although, those thoughts were no more when one of my teachers at my school hanged herself in her room. I saw the reality of what my own actions would have been if I did the same.

Life for me was not easy, but yours might have been even worse it this all happened just last this year.  Though I've learned all I need is a few friends and God to get through anything I might face in the future. So, I have nothing more to add but if you are still reading this just know I always am here to talk if you need to because no matter who you are, or what you did in the past I will always be happy to listen.
