Let's talk about Justin Bieber

Hello everyone,

          Normally, I’m not much of Justin Bieber fan. But after listening to his newest album, Purpose, there a good number tracks that aren’t half bad. One of those songs that I really enjoy is called Love Yourself. It has a really catchy rhythm to it and it almost has like an Ed Sheeran sound to the tune. The song is basically about the girl in the relationship being too conceited to actually care about anyone other than herself, hence the chorus, “If you like the way you look that much, then baby you should go and love yourself.” However, what made me like the song even more was the music video for the song. The video consists of a guy and a girl going through their everyday routine, but they are dancing the whole way through. The whole time, the guy keeps reaching out to the girl, trying to grasp some sort of connection with her, but every time she pushes him away in order to do something that makes her happy. I wouldn’t say it’s necessarily a beautiful video per say, but it does have a sort of simple charm to it. This actually fits the song because the song itself is mostly played with a simple strum pattern of an acoustic guitar with only one mini trumpet solo played during the bridge of the song. All in all, I’m not a Belieber in any regard, but JB might be starting to grow on me a little…
