Cult Films: Troll 2

I have not seen any cult films, but I have definitely heard of many of these. One that I can think of that was not presented on in the presentation is Troll 2. The film is about trolls who turn everyone into plants and eat them. Strangely enough, there is no Troll 1. It was not intended to be a horrible film, but it is known as the worst movie in the world. There is actually a documentary film on this cult classic, titled Best Worst Movie, in which the director and the cast are reunited and act out the scenes years later. The main cast mostly makes a joke out of the reenactments, as they recognize that the film is horrible, but they seem to be having fun and enjoy each other's company. The director, however, refuses to see the film as anything but pure genius. They also attend a screening of it, and get to meet fans. It was very cool to see the fans interact with the actors. One of the actors actually had sever mental health issues and was under the influence of drugs for the entirety of his part of the film. It was very beautiful to see how interacting with the fans and seeing people who appreciate him gave the man back a sense of self-worth and even healing. I would definitely recommend watching the documentary, and if you don't want to watch the film, at least watch this 22 second long clip that is well worth your while.
