I am not going to lie or act like I was not bothered by the little discussion about Friends. I love Friends the TV show and find it to be absolutely hilarious. Who could not love Monica, Phoebe, Rachel, Joey, Chandler, and Ross? All these characters I have learned to love and feel like I know them. I am low-key obsessed with friends (Currently watching on Netflix). But, when it was brought up in class shortly, I kind of agreed that our generation is all about sex and who is hooking up with who and that the tv show is mistaken for the wrong judgement. Our generation is so caught up on that, so we forget about the real problems in the world to distract ourselves. I still love the show and will always watch it no matter what. However, I feel like when we brought it up for the short ten minutes in class or so that we did, it definitely changed my opinion about the characters and the show. Do not get me wrong, I will still watch it on Netflix and enjoy every episode but I will remember that there is a alternate motive that our generation gets caught up on sometimes that could be referenced on the show.
I totally agree with you and I also LOVE FRIENDS (Chandler is may fav btw). I was really pissed off when Leeper claimed that he hates Friends, but I guess I have to learn how to tolerate a close-minded professor.
