documentary still

documentaries have still changed throughout the course of time. I just recently started watching Greatest Tank Battles, They are documentaries about tankers from all over the world. german American British Soviet-Union. while the documentaries are going on, they are showing animated scenes giving the back story as well as showing what happened to the person in their own words. They also show real footage of what happened in the battle.
It was something that I had heard of, but I have never seen the animation match the story in such a way before. The part that takes me off guard is that the show tells you the gun caliber engine power and weight and armor thickness including troop numbers. plus it gives the viewer a first-person look into what the battle really looked like from the gunner, commander and all the other roles in the tank.
