Learning to Cope

Hello Ladies and Gentlemen,
I am going to blog post about one of the films previously watched in class on Tuesday. The film that caught my attention last class was the Dancing With Grandma film. Lately in class, everyone has been arguing about what children should see or should be censored from. This film is a great way to show children the gentle way of death. It is a good way to introduce the topic to children in a way that is not so harsh. Sometimes, I think people get caught up in the topic too much and miss the lesson behind the films. Children learn right from wrong eventually, but sometimes I think individuals get too caught up in what is bad for children to be watching and what they should be watching. Yes, I agree somethings are bad for children to watching, but somethings are very doable for children to be watching. I always think that it will be a controversial topic for all individuals. But back to Dancing with Grandma, it shows that death is a part of everyones life and it shows ways to cope with the idea of death occurring. Especially for children, they do not understand why their grandma is leaving and may even be frustrated at the idea of never seeing them again. I think that this film was great and that every age group could watch this film and benefit from it and walk away with it helping their lives.
