The Art of Procrastination

In celebration of this being my last post and seeing everyone who didn't post at all suddenly pop out 20 of them in one night, let's talk procrastination. There is a certain art to it, an art in which can drive a man mad. Or at least blame yourself for watching the entirety of a television series on the internet before beginning your rough draft.
Now admit it, you've done it at least once. You see that a project has like two weeks left until it's due, so you wait until the very wee hours of the night before to do it all. You drink that giant cup of Joe, you crack your knuckles and you start typing away like there's no tomorrow. You have your anxieties on how on earth you are going to pass this class and how many more points do you need in order to get at the very least a C+.

I think all great artists or writers have procrastinated once or twice. It's never really recorded in history, but how much time did they give Michelangelo until he completed the Sistine Chapel ceiling? He was probably taking small breaks in between here and there while painting it. When working on a project, do not forget to stop for at least 10 minutes to take a deep breath and smell those roses. Because you're only in your late teens, early twenties for so long so enjoy it! Because these will be the moments of college that you will remember the most, as sad as that sounds.

But no matter what, do not lose hope fellow procrastinators of the night, typing away at blog posts and essays, for you only have one week left before a short period of freedom begins. In which Christmas presents, Netflix, friends and sleep will be your only priority.

Happy End of the Semester, Christmas, and New Years Everybody!
