Baffled..
This post is basically just some thoughts i have had the whole semester. So Leeper likes to show random, sometimes weird, films that most average college students haven't seen. Some of the time this makes/made sense for the topic. For topics like the sand animation and animation using other mediums there are clearly no mainstream films of this sort. I guess i am just confused as to why we watch obscure films that most people haven't heard of for every single topic. A prime example is today in class; we watched some short action films that, again, i had never even heard of. "George Lucas in Love was humorous though it was still random to me. I dont know if Leeper actually has a topic that he wanted the videos to relate to today but it seemed like with the Matrix and the Ninja films, action would be a safe bet. If this is true, why not watch some actual well made action movies with awesome special effects and stunts or whatever? I dont know if Leeper likes to just introduce us to new things that he knows most of us have probably never seen, which i do enjoy sometimes, or if he just genuinely thinks they are quality films. I guess my opinion probably differs from most of the people in here though... Non-DMA Major Probs...
