I had never heard of an animated documentary before. Seeing the two in class on Tuesday was really fascinating. Ryan stood out to me the most probably because I actually know who Ryan Larkin is. I've seen quite a bit of his work before and it's always so beautiful and impressive. It was sad seeing the state he was in in the documentary. I couldn't think of a better way to show people's inner struggles for that documentary. The way you could basically see through Ryan was a powerful image.
We saw a clip of his waling animation in class, but the whole thing is worth the watch. It's cool seeing an ordinary thing like walking become something beautiful.
Street Music is another one of his works, and it's absolutely wonderful. Again, I highly recommend watching the whole thing.
