Good Afternoon Ladies and Gentlemen,
I trust that you are all having a good day! For today's blog, or extra credit, I chose to talk about the past film The Owl Who Married a Good and its relevance to a weekly reading. The weekly reading that goes along with this film is from October 27, Women in Animation II: Women Working Together.
The title of this film is kind of self explanatory to the context of this film. This owl is 'married' to this goose and they soon have children. However, they have goose traits such as flying and swimming. As the momma goose and her baby geese start doing their things such as swimming and flying you see that the owl notices his problem. He's struggling to do all this. The owl seems to try his best to be with his family and fit in, but with all his effects he is just not good enough. Throughout the reading we learn the different structures from Leeds Animation and I believe this film shows some of these different structures. For example, I think this film may explores the issue of not being good enough. This is an issue everyone faces in their life time, however, you have to come to a conclusion that you will not be 'good enough' in ever aspect in your life. This is significant to me because I am the type of person that want to make everyone happy and be a perfectionist in everything I do. God did not build us to be perfect. We have our flaws and weaknesses. Find were you fit in and excel and perfect in the areas God has gifted you with.
