After reading the article by Isaac Singer, it had me thinking
about a lot of stuff. So if grown ups are so called hypnotized by big names and
media, wouldn’t that make them normal in this society. Seeing that everyone is
either obsessed with a sport team, a player or even an actor. While children
are either caught up in the world of children’s media or are to small to know
what is going on around them. So I have to strongly disagree with Singer,
because its not really fair to try to compare a child to an adult that is just
careless when it comes to literacy simply because they don’t care anymore. When
you are growing up, the school system is forcing you to learn literacy all the
way till you get out of college. That much time being forced to take English is
simply making adults become lazy when it comes to literacy.
Sorry this has been edited a couple of times.
