Hi, my name is Jackie. I'm a freshman and I'm majoring in animation. I was born in Buenos Aires Argentina and moved to Queens New York when I was two. I don't remember anything from Argentina because I haven't lived there since. I like to draw, and I even make my own graphic novels/illustrations. I love visual storytelling which is one of the main reasons why I want to become a storyboard artist. One of my favorite movies is Lord of the Rings/ The Hobbit trilogy. I am a die hard fan of Lord of the Rings, and my dream is to go to HobbitCon and New Zealand. Other favorite movies that I love are School of Rock, My Big Fat Greek Wedding, The Road to El Dorado, Mean Girls, Freaky Friday, and Forest Gump. After I watch a film that I really like, I always watch behind the scenes videos of the film on YouTube. Andy Serkis wrote a book that’s called “Gollum: How We Made Movie Magic,” which was really inspiring to me. This book made me feel more interested in film, because I now have a deeper understanding of what it takes to be in this field.
