Too close to home

The video we watched today that was animated and talked about dying hit too close to home for me. It was very difficult to watch, but I guess that is what makes a good film. My grandpa is currently going through cancer for the second time and cancer is winning this time of round. I started tearing up while viewing the film. Realizing that everyone does die is hard. Thinking that the life you are living right now will at some point end. I have lost a couple of family members close to me and loss is never an easy thing, but this film made me wonder what happens after death. Yes, everyone has a stereotypical thought and you want to go go heaven, yes. But, nobody actually knows. It is very scary. This film also brought up a movie I watched in high school called, My Sister's Keeper. In the movie, when the mom says goodbye to her daughter was an amazing tear jerker, but what happened after that. She talked about heaven and compared dying to "when her mom told her to look out the window on the bus and she will be waving back to her mom". This film brought up a hard topic that was extremely close to home for me.
The film sent chills down my back and at moments I had to look away, because this is happening to my grandpa.
