The Random Gif that lead to Dimensions of Dialogue...

Today i was working on some work, doodling and was casual looking up stuff on stop motion animation on Tumblr (i kind of want to try it out for myself, so if anyone wants to give tips feel free). Then i suddenly run across a post that looked something like this:
"Ever have one of these days?"

At that moment i was INSTANTLY curious as to where on earth this came from! So i then went out on an epic search; looking up claymation faces on youtube. This then lead me to 3 short films that were apart of a 14 minute collection called dimensions of dialogue which was directed by Jan Švankmajer. This guy is a professional Czech filmmaker, who is also well known for his adaptation of Alice in Wonderland, simply titled "Alice". Luckily, i found all of the shorts on youtube and watched each on in full.

Each one has it's own weird way of expressing human nature with these clay sculptures of men and women. The Passionate Discourse showing what happens to a man and a woman in a relationship in both closeness and in taring each other apart (literally). The other two parts were interesting as well, going as far to remind me of the film about feeding kids information that we saw during class that one time. Each film had it's own way of discussing how people interact with one another by showing it in a uniquely surreal sort of way. Anywho, i will most likely look up more on this guy and see what other works that he has come out with.
(I do have to say, watching these half tired is a weird surreal feeling in itself. Reminds me of this one time were i stayed up past midnight watching tv and i switched to PBS to find myself watching a Monty Python animation. I was so weirded out that i thought that it was going to pop out and get me. I was so young then! lol Anyways, Have a good night!!!)
